This post is all about motivation.

Ever feel stuck when it comes to writing your ad copy, coming up with a catchy title for your upcoming webinar, or consistently emailing your list?

It happens.

Some people call it writers block and others call it a funk. And with everyone’s routine being killed with the pandemic, many don’t even know they are in a funk.

I call it, “creative junk in your trunk” and when it’s been on your mind too long, it can turn to mush.

OK… So there isn’t a ton of scientific evidence on “creative junk in your trunk” but it’s still a real issue you need to overcome.

If not, you will get caught up in a crappy cycle that looks something like this:

1. You come up with an awesome idea and promise to get to it “later”

2. Other things come up and you don’t get to your idea, you might have even forgotten about it

3. When your schedule clears, your doubts creep in for a surprise visit

4. You eventually talk yourself out of that idea and start to notice other people who had great ideas of their own

5. You are so interested that you read all of their material and love it so much that you start to seriously fear creating your own stuff and being different

6. Eventually you stop adding value, being original, and end up slashing prices or hiding under the covers

The rest is history….

Something has to change and only you can do something about it.

It’s not hard to see that the world is hurting when you turn on the news or talk to people who are hungry to be happy or fulfilled.

That is where you come in.

The only way to eliminate darkness is with light.

When people can’t find their own light or don’t allow it to shine, they let their eyes adjust to the dark.

Perhaps they even get proverbial night goggles to see better in the dark.

Nonetheless, their world is still dark.

Thankfully, you can help them.

By sharing your story you spread hope and happiness.

By sharing your story you show someone that you can overcome a difficult time and come out on the other side.

It’s not about how you did it, when you did it, how well you did it, or how you compare to others.

In that moment, the person who needs what you have to offer is just moved because they feel heard, motivated, and inspired.

Many experts are wasting too much time counting likes, getting the fanciest equipment possible, and over-thinking their webinar slides instead of sharing their story.

People need what you have to offer now more than ever.

When people focus too much on an ad budget, a past failure, or the opinion or a negative person, they tend to lose focus on what really matters.

People.

People matter.

Real people who have families that depend on them and communities that need them to rise to the occasion.

If you can help them with your story, why wouldn’t you?

Be intentional with your message.

Be intentional with your goals.

Share your story and spread hope and light around the world.

No more excuses, ifs, ands, or buts.

It’s that simple.

Serve people by sharing how you overcame a difficulty in your life and remind them that they too can get through it.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You just have to care.

The more you help people, the more motivated you are!

You are a hard-working and bright entrepreneur so you will understand that building a business all by yourself is similar to tickling yourself- it doesn’t work.

You need someone to help you create a concise and easy-to-follow plan so that you can achieve your goals without confusion or overwhelm.

As a small business owner you don’t have time to waste. You also shouldn’t be miserable when you go for your dreams.

I’m here to help- the fun way.

Reach out if you need any help!
